Description of Process for this Submission
My prints are hand-set in traditional metal type and manually printed on a Vandercook 317 proving press. Ornaments and background patterns are composed from the “Granjon Arabesques,” a set of six combinable glyphs created by Robert Granjon (1513-1590). The “Dysphoria Typographica” series investigates deconstruction, disorientation, and the random effects of change. These studies are altered prints made from extra-edition prints of my “Tennyson Tetraptych” series.
