Description of Process for this Submission
The techniques involved are made with a brush and metal quills using gothic calligraphy and a mix of styles that contrast and complement each other in a palimpsest that involves typographic impressions (letterpress) and interventions.
Initially, the work was done with four layers of textures using ink rollers and two passes of Vandercook Universal III to print the wood types. Next, the calligraphy work was developed and finished with four more passes of printing on a Platten Press using metal types. Twelve copies were made, keeping a regular handwriting for the typographic register.
